platy has a spot, need id!

Tank size:20 gallons
pH:7.6 high range ph test says 7.8
ammonia:0
nitrite:0
nitrate:20ppm
kH:
gH:
tank temp:76F

Fish Symptoms (include full description including lesion, color, location, fish behavior):
she has a spot that looks like a grain of salt stuck to her by white cotton almost, the center is raised as if it is an actual grain of salt. her color is still good, she is hiding and is clamping her fins part of the time. she is preggers too. still eating.

Volume and Frequency of water changes:
25% once a week, top off in between

Chemical Additives or Media in your tank:
tetra aquasafe water conditioner

Tank inhabitants:
one male platy, he is staying next to her at all times, and some clamped fins, a platy fry that is a couple months old, two zebra danios acting fine. 4 mystery snails.

Recent additions to your tank (living or decoration):
two silk plants a month ago, but nothing new.

Exposure to chemicals:
nope, just the water conditioner

the power was out last weekend for two days. she is one of the ones who made it through the temp dropping below 60F.

looks like some trpe of fungus. does it look like cotton hanging of or does it just look a diffrent colour?

it looks kinda fluffy like cotton but it doesnt hang off at all it is up againt the body except in the center where it looks like a grain of salt stuck to her. does htat make sense?

yh it sounds like a type of fungus. im not to sure what meds you would need to get because your in the US so someone else might be able to help with the med you need.

Agree with Kizno, looks fungal. I believe you can get Jungle formula fungal stuff?

yes you can get the jungle brand antibacterial antifungal, its available at walmart and petsmart pretty cheap, its in a box that hangs off a peg and has red trim. the doseing last time I checked was 1 fizzy tab per 10 gallons water us.

ok thank you guys! i will get that tonight and keep my fingers crossed!!! will it be ok to treat the whole tank? will i need to remove the snails?

edit: nevermind the snail part of the question, just found the answer to that!
