Re: buying 2 males tomorrow!
Yea he's coming up to the top, I got him to flare at the mirror, He did have a 2 hour drive back to our house.
He seems to be perking up a bit, got a few pics, not very good as I can't get a pic of him flaring. He looks beautiful when he flares.
Also where did you get your pixel image thing in your signature?
I'm definately gonna get another male in a month when I have enough money, probably a halfmoon.
I would definately recommend the shop if you don't want to buy a betta online.

Which shop is it hon? Wow he is an absolute beauty! Keep an eye on him, but he had a long way and so much excitement and is probably just knackered from all that speace, occupants and food! He is a lush boy indeed.
P.s. some very talented person did it on here for me! Off to find out who.

The Goldfish Bowl in Oxford, tucked away but packed with stuff, they have an ornament section which is the size of the biggest maidenhead nearest to me!

Cool thanks, It was a 1 hour drive for me so not too far, I'm definately gunna go back there. I've now persuaded my dad to buy an aquastart300 for the kitchen and we'll probably put 2 males in there. I'm getting the betta bug!

It hits everyone sooner or later! I got Calcifer in the frame of mind "pretty fish" which of course he is but it was the personality that did it! I now have 5 soon to be 8! Brillo did he go to the shop with you? Too tempting!

Yea he had to come, he was the driver.
I'm thinking about having an aquastart300 next to my 500, should just fit under my tv, that means I'll have four bettas in front of me when I'm on my laptop.

Sounds great! Get those pennies saving! (I know I am lol
) So in total there could potentially be 6 bettas, 5 more in the pipeworks, if your dad has a divided in the kitchen? Good stuff!

yep 6, I get £20 a month and also christmas is coming up. which means my grandad will give me some money, my dad says it costs too much to run loads of tanks, I keep telling him to shut down his 3ft community. Then I would be allowed more tanks.

The 3ft was originally my tank but since I bought my own I don't really take an interest in the 3ft. I keep telling him to get rid of the kribensis because they keep breeding, also the tank has now got fungus infection, if he sold it he could probably get around £100.
I'm always looking on ebay and aquarist classifieds and ebay for bargains.
Bruno seems to be happy now, he's swimming around alot more, I bought a sunken helmet thing for him but he hasn't gone inside it yet. I know they're a bit takky but he needs a little house.
I'm hoping he'll make a bubble nest, my dad has some floating plants but because of the fungus infection I don't know whether I should put the plants in my tank. Any ideas whether it's ok?
Thanks
Joe

Oh dear, probably best to rehome that 3ft then, you would get some good money for it after a good clean.
Aw glad he is settled, I have a tacky ceramic house and treasure chests, but they work as homes and that is the main thing!
Personally? I wouldnt "just in case" but maybe others have some suggestions for you? Hopefully he will try soon!

Yea, my dads got all the medication so I should be able to have the plants in about a week or so.

Lol, I was showing the mirror to Bruno and he yawned! He opened his mouth and yawned and then he turned around and swam off. I think he's bored of flaring at himself.
