Re: Apistogramma Agassizii
you leave them with the eggs. they ate there last spawn and they proberly will the next few but after a while and they learn how to look after them there good parents and the male will guard the cave and the female will stay in the cave with the eggs/fry. once the fry are older she will take them out for trips around the tank but they stay really close to her

Re: Apistogramma Agassizii
That would be great if eventually you get some babies to hatch. I just guess you have to be patient with them and keep fingers crossed.
They sound abit like Bettas. I've had egg eaters and then by the 3rd or 4th time they've figured out not to eat them and look after them instead lol

i think there goin to breed in the next few days. they have both coloured up alot, the females getting eggy, in the last few days they havent been more than a few inches away from each other and they keep following eachother in and out of the caves
i just hope they dont eat them this time

Re: Apistogramma Agassizii
I have the same problem with one of my male bettas. He's spawned twice recently and both time eaten the eggs
I had one before like that and he did eventually get it right and gave me two nice spawns.

Re: Apistogramma Agassizii
Just keep on waiting and I'm sure they'll get there soon. At least you know they are spawning so it's just a matter of time
