Looks good so far thumbup Make sure to get lots more plants tomorrow to bulk it out more and some tall ones too to break up their line of sight.

I'm sure it's going to look great once you've finished it all off :D

Well i need tall plants as you say, so going out with some money tomorrow to get some good plants to make it like a busy jungle!
Do you think 10 females will be enough to have no fighting?

there will still be some fighting when you add them hun as they need to establish the heirachy
but then should diminish

wel the tank wil be new to every single one of them, so soon they should all get to have their own bit lol.
It is big enough though for 10 of them?

yes hun it is but they will still have minor squabbles at first i usually find it's a case of flaring and a bit of nudging though - nothing more serious than that

yes ok. I will keep an eye on them. (:
Do i float them all for the same amount of time then set them free straight after each other?

Yep...float them all together and then if you know any of your exsiting girls are quite dominant then add them to the tank last thumbup

They will be ok for a few more days...just make sure to do daily water changes on them. Also bear in mind there are still some postal strikes this weekend and possibly early next week in some areas. So they may want to send when they are sure they'll not be stuck in the postal system

It's best to wait until you have them all and can add them together. As soon as you add any they will start their pecking order and then if you add more it all has to start from scratch again. It's the same procedure if you remove any too thumbup

yup i find it a bit of a pain - now down to 30 ish girls in one of the tanks but everytime i add or remove any i always remove all the girls for an hour redo the tank and then add them back all at the same time

This is why all our breeding females are housed separately.....then once retired they go into the sorority and live out their days in there.

If they are being posted I doubt you'll get them Monday as that would mean posting on a Saturday and the fish sitting in the sorting office over the weekend!!!!
