ermmmm can get a fair few that either come in at that height or get there or above very quickly, depends on the fish you will having with them though as well as lighting. you should be ok as you have a pH of about 5.5 dont you?

Our Ph is low, around 6 - 6.5. Have full spectrum lighting (4 T5's). Looking at a general community, Plec, corys, Rainbows etc etc

yes they were great! each leaf before they forked out was about 4-5 inches wide. The vallisneria americania rubra is lovely, grows to the water surface and then across the surface, comes in a lovely copper to green colour and is fairly fasy growing. Adds a great tone of colour in the water as the light shines through them. I personally would go for something a little bit on the tough side too if your planning on the larger rainbow species, they are swines for nipping plants. The crinum is an awesome plant, can come in small but if in groups of 3 they are just beautiful and they train their way around the tank. Our list is nothing like whats available on th webiste, there are too many to get them all on.

Umm, are they best kept in shoal? I take it they are peaceful, but are they liable to be picked on in a community? Also, are they generally healthy fish?
