Find a khuli?

Post by lilacamy931 on Thu Oct 01, 2009 6:51 pm

Well found second dead khuli today and there is now one pygmy one left. I went through each of the four divides systematically (he can get wherever he wants) getting the dead plants out as still discovering how to place them etc, hoping my replanting saves them! Anyways didnt come across him, no scared panic thing which would make me suspicious as he runs at the sight of me normally, afraid he might be dead too somewhere..any tips? Little worried.

Khulis are normally bomb proof.....i know ours went through a filter crash with high ammonia & nitrIte because they would not be caught. They're still going strong:)

I've heard some horror stories about kuhlis getting stuck inside decor. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] If you have any decorations in your tank that have drainage holes, or really holes of any kind, look very carefully. A guy at a pet store had to pull out a fake tree branch and break it on the floor in order to get one of the little guys out. Somehow the fish actually lived, though.

I had one that somehow got stuck underneath the filter and died, my other three are still going but i very rarely see them, they hide all day and by the time they come out i'm normally in bed lol. Hope you find yours, i'm sure he'll turn up, they pretty amazing at hiding!
