What do you guys think on stocking?

Hello All!
We have decided to set up our tank with all male guppies, something visually stunning and fairly simple to look after. It is a 160 litre and thinking of the following stocking what do you reckon?

30-40 guppies
4 pitbull plecs
8-10 lampeyes (i have a wekaness sorry!)

sounds good you could have the 4 pitbulls or 3 bns or 3 rubbernoses

Thanks Kizno, have never had plecs any recommendations? Havent heard of rubber noses so will have a quick look, know can get pitbulls for about £5 each and BNs for £8 so they are available will have to see on rubbers!

p.s. ah they are otherwise known as bulldogs!

if you go with bns you could have 1m 2f

you could get endlers insted/aswell of guppys or a few wild guppys

Not really up on my Guppies;) but did see some super bright red ones earlier this week :D

Daz had BN's cheaper than what you said a while ago :D I like Pips Plecs the L114 i think it was?

the wild once are amizing colours they dont have aslong tails and endlers have short tail but the colours make up for it.

Thanks guys! will hopefully be getting some guppies off of daz when collect me plants next week, will have to see if there are any bns left as know he has limited stock now. we are sourcing most the guppies locally (trying hard not to get them at lfs's). Will have to look and see what pip's are, are they the ones that bred recently? when it comes to plecs i have no-knowledge at all!

We do like look of endlers so a mix of these will be good too, thanks!

you could proberly have a trio of apisto aswell if you only get 2 bns

Right had a look around and back again, we want ease of stocking so anything at the LFSs. We saw some really unusal freshwater gobies but for £10 a piece unsure what exactly they do? Cant find any info on them even with the latin name. Know I can get the pitbulls, so may go with these.
Apistos, unsure if would have seen them or not? We have Pets@Home, Proaquatics and Southern Aquatics, are they fairly common, googling they seem striking but can't recall.

So to recap:
3 pitbull plecs (help to clean and also bottom lvel activity)
6-8 lamps
2-3 apistos (perhaps toooo agressive)
30 guppies

thats fine i would go for 3 apisto they do better in trios (1m 2f)
apistogramma cacatuoides
or
apistogramma Agassizii
work best if your ph is between 6-8 but if its about 6 there are alot more types to choose from.

mine is at 8 the higher end, will read a bit more, thanks hon.

we think we have found our plec, just spotted queen arabesque - gorgeous! they are expensive but we are in love doh!

the other to that i recommended will do fine in that and theres a type of apisto the likes to breeding in water about 8 but i cant think of the name.
