Re: What do you guys think on stocking?
Aw have appreciated all the guidance and help from you and others, I am a complete panicker and a bit pedantic when it comes to fish which is why usually do loners or species tanks. This is my first tank with my partner that will be proper community/mixed species and reallllly nervous!
So far the male guppies and lamp eyes are behaving as they should, over the weekend will be fun getting the lamps out and back to their tank. The glass are still extremely shy and unsure if eating, keep squirting (gently) bloodworm for them to reach in their hidey hole

yh glass fish are really shy how many do you have again? they do better in big shoals and you should be able to see if there eating by looking at the colour of there stomach it will turn the colour of what they have just eaten.

currently have 3 and planning 3 more hopefully tomorrow so putting it down to the numbers at the moment and with 3 more hopefully they will perk up. They have taken refuge in a heavily planted root so fairly difficult to see with out scaring them out

Re: What do you guys think on stocking?
One VERY LAST QUESTION (hopefully). The apistos will be paired, the gobies will be paired.
With the two pearl gouramis should I go for a pair, two girls or two males. My partner prefers the males but unsure the two would be ok even with my 160 litre? Otherwise how does a pair sound?

Re: What do you guys think on stocking?
i would be a bit worried if you got a pair of gouramis coz if they breed i dont think the guppys tails would do to good. the males might be a bit to territorial so 2 females would be best but you might be able to get away with a pair or 2 males but its a bit of a risk.

Re: What do you guys think on stocking?
ok something to consider. I was thinking females originally as the more docile as imagine gourami breeding similar to betta and the male a nightmare when eggs present. The males are lush but wouldnt want everything beaten up, will tell my partner and see what he thinks and I think we have hopefully sorted all the kinks out! thanks again xxxx
