Any Other Inhabitants ... :0), male divided tank?

The male bettas sections are currently 17l or so each, there is 4. But what other inhabitants could i get.
Snails are abit messy, so if i do get some it would be Assassins (to eat all the pest snails), Smile

Possibly any fish, or how about shrimp, do they produce alot of waste??

Shrimp would be good, although your betta may play with it or take it as a snack! No they dont produce must waste :D
