Freshwater Gobies

Post by lilacamy931 on Sat Oct 10, 2009 5:32 pm

Well we have been about some of the LFS today and resaw these that forgot about, they are labelled blue neon gobies (freshwater) and found the latin proper name is Stiphodon semoni and well really taken by them! Only thing is can't find anything on them except simpleness and don't know how many to get or how they would do in my planned community. Any ideas anyone? I like them as they are unusal and always liked gobies (which for some reason never thought fresh ones existed!). Just out of interest if anyone has kept them?

I love these little things but sorry limited info on them b/c I've never seen them in the flesh so had no reason to learn about them. A search on google has also proven that not many people know anything about them. Did the shop know? or is that a stupid question

Well the two people I spoke to said "yer the manager knows" but he wasnt about, I was going to give a call tomorrow and depending will proabbly get some in a weeks time. They just looked gorgeous and had the very typical goby features. Thinking of going for two myself (as even talking to the manager probably make it up on the spot) and see how things go that way as the footprint of the tank should be large enough for two terrorteries.
