What are they good for??

Post by ReptileLuver729 on Fri Oct 23, 2009 5:31 pm

Hey guys! I am totally against bettas in bowls, but I have two over-sized ones from when I was little and my parents knew nothing about the proper care. I was just wondering what fish bowls are good for. And I don't mean soup or ice cream (what everyone feels about them) but is there any creature that can inhabit them?? Anything?? Thanks as always!

Well before we can really recommend anything we need to know the capacity. I keep all 2L bucket and use 'em for various reasons; fish being annoying during water changes, excess plants, cleaning gravel, hospital. If they're 5g or so you could probably find a fish that wouldn't mind living there, but you're looking at finding a tiny heater and filter, a lid, and all that good stuff =/

if you can get fillters and heaters for them and there a desent size you could keep shrimps, guppys, endlers and snails.

For little buckets/ bowls I just get a mixing jug, fill it to 1Litre, pour it in and see how many fit in ^^;;

This is what an A* Math GCSE gets you.

Wow haha it is smaller than I thought. I mean it looks ginormous, but it only holds a little over a gallon! Jeez it just looks so big! :shock:

GCSE Science? Fantastic :D I remember doing that, spent most lessons making multi-coloured sparklers and spelling our names like a bunch of 5 year olds on Guy Fawkes night Very Happy
