Hi Claire and a big welcome to the forum [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

We keep all our Bettas at around 27c. Always make sure you have a glass thermometre in your tank too cos sometimes heater will heat to high/low even though you have it set for a certain temp [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Feel free to ask as many questions as you like [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

The best food are pellets eg Hikari Betta Gold, Atison's Betta Pro in a pink tub or the normal ones in the blue tub.

We generally feed 4 pellets in the morning and 4 in the evening. Live or frozen bloodworm or brineshrimp can be fed once a week. Some people have a fast day where they don't feed anything.
