My first betta :D

Post by clairebee1 on Mon Nov 02, 2009 2:46 pm

Hello, i picked up my male today and managed to get some photos of him
they arn't to clear but i hope to get better ones! Is it normal for him
to always stay at the top and move slow? This is my first betta, but
when you approach his tank he moves i hope he is ok !

Also i need help with a name lol! Smile

Hi
Grats on your first betta [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] They can take up to a week to settle into a new home. Does he have a heater?

Congrats on your lovely new boy. I would up his temp to 27c and do a 25% water change every 3rd day and then once a month do a big 75% with a gravel clean too [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Bettas are by far the best for interacting with, which is why people build up such a bond with them [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

He's a veil tail so his tail will always droop down but once he's settled he should fan his fins out a bit more!
