I got one!

i bought my first betta yesterday it was the healthiest looking one in there i dont no much on them at the moment but hes purpple blue and red when i got him home he was very shy but after a day and some bloodworm hes really lively. can some one tell me wat type he is thou [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] an i rele want to get into breeding them and keepin mutiple fish wats the best way to do this thank you,lewis

sounds nice
you need to get a photobucket or imageshack acount upload the photos on to there and then coppy the code from there into the post

You've still got llooooaaadds of research to do yet for keeping him yet, so id leave the breeding yet. As for the tail type as Kizno said you will need to upload a piccy!

he sounds lovely. Keep an eye on him for at least a couple of weeks as they sometimes get stressed out. He sounds ok tho if he is eating.
I have been keeping bettas for donkey years and have never bred any of them. You need to do a lot of research before you even think about it. But, and this is a big BUT you are in the right place.. welcome.

Firstly your Betta is a Veil Tail (VT) thumbup

Where on him is the lump?
Is it on top of or below the scales?
How big is it?
Does it protrude from him?

Near the Pectoral fin then? (the little flappy ones on the side)

What size is it? Does it look smooth or rough?

If its looking furry then its likely to be a fungal infection. Does the Pectoral fin look ok? (The flappy one behind the gill)
