Usually the stores own brand are cheaper than the named ones so just go for the cheapest they have.

lol! Ok on the other forum, they said use the cheapest as it pure, so containe no perfumes etc.

I could only find Domestos in the cupboard so i diluted it with loads of water.

TBH, it makes no difference what it contains as you have to rinse the tank thoroughly again and again to remove any traces of bleach. I would suspect that the bleach itself is more toxic than the perfumes added anyway.
Its also best to leave the tank to dry naturally after rinsing:)

I would personally rinse it with water and leave to air dry. Turn it upside down somewhere. This will help any gasses to disperse.

bleach, i used Domestos the Original dark blue one.

Do i have to re-wash it or should it be fine. Its not going to hold Inverts etc for another month or so yet anyways. I might add a pest snail in to keepmthe filter going, but the shrimp will initially be added to one of the main tanks, then i will add them into the small shrimp tank 1 by 1.

If it were me, i would rather be safe than sorry. Just think that if you get it all ready, cycled etc and add some livestock and they die quickly?

It depends on how well you rinsed it?

ok well i got 2 caps of the bleach and mixed it with about 6-7ish Litres of water.

Ill jsut empty the tank, thoroughly rinse it and let it dry in the aire like you said.... and hope for the best!

Does that sound like a good idea, probarly not, but its worth a go. Rolling Eyes
