Bargain Christmas present

Post by Vandraco aka Bronzecat on Wed Dec 16, 2009 3:41 pm

Back in October I asked my Dad if he would like a fish tank for Christmas. He said he would, as he hasn't had a fish tank for around 30 years!! He had a 4ft tropical at one one point. Anyway, space is limited in their little flat but i just managed to win a suitable tank on ebay. Its the same as in the link below, but is the 54 ltr instead of the 60. It comes with filter, heater and overhead lighting Very Happy Winning bid £41 Very Happy

LOL....my Dad sends blank text messages to me when he tries to ring my Mum, so there's no way he would get to grips with the "Internet" lol!

I plan to take it up on christmas day, along with substrate and some mature media. There is space already for it, although he doesn't know what he's getting yet. I'll set it up and get it running, so all he'll need to do is feed the filter until he gets some fishies Very Happy

Well, I set the tank up for him on Christmas day. Put mature media in the filter, added some plants etc

He's been feeding the tank since, and plans to get his first fish next week. Not sure what he's getting yet?
