Pruning?

Post by lilacamy931 on Sun Dec 20, 2009 10:27 am

How do you guys do it? Question Ive had planted tanks for a little while now (ohhh 2-3months?) and found some hate sand or gravel and others do better in other tanks. I take off the dead leaves and gunky bits that happen but how do I prune otherwise and take "cuttings"? I found a rule of thumb that snip below the new roots but above the next leaf but in the large tank litttttle unsure lol.

Here is the tank after a little pruning:

One I am unsure of is this branchy plant that has a very long stem and the leaves right at the top and then this tendril root just below them. This particular branch is bending along the surface now do I replant?

Sorry for the stupid questions! Never been green fingered (just about keep cactus' alive Very Happy )

I would have thought that using the same technique as used in garden plants would apply?
That would be to snip right above a new leaf or shoot.
