Ok, so i modified the lights in the hood.
The T8 bulb is 15W can i get a higher wattage than this to fit in it?
I added a small Flourecent Compact 9W- so the total is 24W!
(and yep, i stole it from the shrimp tank; my plants didnt arrive in the end, all i have in there is Java Fern)

Looks very DIY-ish and small but its really Bright! :X
Oh, and any advice on what corals i can keep?

Hmm, not going to wash the sand. Others have not washed this particular brand and it was fine. Apparently you cant use tap water. the bag says, it only needs a 'light rinse' ?!?
Even then, i will have to mix water and salt in the tank (dont have massive buckets) then in goes LR then the sand!
Whoop whoop!
