28 litre tank

Post by Assaye on Thu Jan 07, 2010 12:39 am

Righto. Got a 28 litre tank with 1 betta and 2 apple snails in it.
Forget the apple snails, I have 5 other tanks they could go in. I'm
going to move my shrimp and frogs into that tank so the stocking would
look like:

2 x ADF
1 x betta
2 x apple snail (optional)
1 x ghost shrimp

The tank has two small filters, bogwood and loads of soft ferns (fake).
Ideally, I'd like to put 3-5 endlers in the tank as well.

So how about:

2 x ADF
1 x betta
1 x shrimp
3 x endlers

What do you guys think? I can add extra plants, no problem.

I'd say that sounds really good. Although i'd switch all the fake plants to live if possbile?

One of those "wont know unless you try it, but prepare for trouble" moments [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Really depends on the Betta, and whether it accepts the Endlers? We've had Male Bettas that wouldn't even tollerate Oto's!

I think he'll be OK. He flares quite a lot but always seems like he's doing it because he knows I want him to, LOL.

"Oh, you want me to flare? Fine . . ."

He's not even looked at the snails, even when they are racing around with all their fleshy bits out.

Worst comes to the worst, I have several other tanks to play with. They could even go in with Ozzy because I know he's good with other fish.

You don't think the tank'll be over stocked then? As for live plants - can't really. Lights are not strong enough and the room is quite dark. Might try some java fern but not holding much hope.

Without the Apple Snails it sounds fine Very Happy The shrimp wont add much to the bio-load.
