Should I or not??

Post by Vandraco aka Bronzecat on Tue Jan 12, 2010 6:06 pm

Hello all

As you know I have a 40g trop tank set-up. It currently houses -
6 x Pearl Danios
2 x Parkinsoni Rainbowfish
5 x Red Phantom Tetras
2 x Pacock Gobies
5 x Albino Corys
3 x Pygmy striped Catfish
2 x Gold Gouramis

I have a 20g still set-up with betta females from last years Dragon spawn. I was thinking about putting half a dozen of the females in the 40g, but would there be an issue with the Gouramis??

Anyone got any thoughts?

they might be ok if you add them when the gouramis are smll and they grow up together but the gouramis get a bit bigger i know gold gouramis can be a little agressive. it is quite a big tank though so it might be ok. i would add them and just see how it goes thumbup

I think it would work

IMO - try but ensure you have a back-up plan!

Cheers Kizno thumbup
The Gouramis are about 2" at present so not huge. Actually, its the male Parkinsoni I should be more concerned with?? He's the boss of the tank.

I suppose i could see how it goes as they can always go back in the 20g.

sounds good
and the rainbow fish might calm down a little if you up them to 6 or 8 they prefer to be i shoals they will be alot more active and it might make the agression more between ther rainbow fish rather that all the fish if you get what i mean?
