Worried about my girls

Post by Assaye on Thu Jan 21, 2010 11:28 pm

Just need to vent =(

Got some girls coming from Daz who were supposed to arrive this morning. Daz is as confused and worried as I am. I have to be on campus for a seminar tomorrow so I'm scared the poor things are going to arrive and just be taken straight back to the delivery centre. I also have work on Saturday so if they come then, no-one will be in.

I don't know what to do. Royal Mail asked me to phone back at 5pm but when I did, no-one was avaliable.

It's really cold and the poor girls will have been in their bags for at least a day longer than they should have.

*sigh*

I hope they are OK [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Hi
Did you check the tracking number online to see where they are at present? If they are at your local depot maybe you could pick them up?
Is there a neighbour who could sign for them and at least keep them in the warm?

Not really. I'll ask next-door tomorrow but they work and the kids will be at school. I'll beg my housemates to stay in but I think they both have campus stuff tomorrow as well.

Will pick them up tomorrow if I need to. Yay for £15 taxi rides.

Daz left the tracking number in his jeans pocket, lol, so he couldn't give it to me. He's looking into it, though.

Your sorting office should be open till around 6.30pm if all else fails. Dont forget you're entitled to a refund on shipping, but seller has to make the claim.

Hi
You need to check with seller to get the correct number. Aly, are yours coming from same place?

yeh... The place i pm'd you about a few days ago.

What i dont get is, RM special delivary is a garunteed service, so why on earth would they come a day later?

You can get a refund, but atm i dont care, i just want my bettas to arrive safely at the time that they are suppose to arrive. Evil or Very Mad

We had one last year that didn't arrive. When I called RM I found out that the parcel had been sent to the wrong sorting office. So it had been posted in Wales and got to us a day late via London?
It would help if you had the correct tracking number though. I would check the number you have with the seller. At least with the right number you will be able to find out exactly where the parcel is.

Yeh, you can know the tracking number beforehand. We have a stock of the Special delivery tickets and the number is on them already. The tracking number shouldn't change though, unless the label was changed at some point.

They arrived! Yay! Both have had a teeny bit of brineshrimp and are floating around their tank very quietly, but seem well.

Who is Gambit?
