Thats what like a 29 gallon? over stocking aside the mollys would prefer slightly salty water, the plec may get massive depending on breed and the loach will eventualy need a much much bigger tank as well as the fact that he/she would prefer some friends.

Ive always kept 1 loach, however i think the tank is bigger than 29g. Once the loachs get to a fair size, my lfs swaps them for a smaller one. Smile. The mollies are doing fine without salt, its the longest ive ever kept mollies they must be nearly a year old.

hello

Mollies and salt I know nothing about as they are probably my least favorite fish littleangel

Most 3ft tanks range between 29-35 gallons depending on the other dimensions. Personally, Clowns shouldn't be kept singularly as they are very socialable shoaling fish, and do need a good swimming area. I would see about rehoming?

With the Clown gone, I think the stocking level isn't too bad. I'd maybe look at something like one of the Botia loaches? The Polkadot ones are nice:)

in my particular area mollys dont agree with the local water supply and die pretty quite without massive intervention and constant salt use. that and the fact that the first mollys I had where huge bullys makes me dislike them.

I like plattys alright. tims work is having livebearers for a dollar so I will get a few new ones cause my big tank has a grand total of 8 fish in it. I had been keeping the stocking super low because I wanted to raise some bettas for it, but I need a new male, mcgyver wants nothign to do with baby making anymore.

what type of plec is it if its a common it will get well to big for the tank. like van said the clown loach will have to go. the tiger berbs will need to go aswell they need to be kept in groups of atleast 6 or they will be extreamly agressive and it to they will start nipping other fish and i think the tank is a little to small for them. you need to have atleast 3 female bettas aswell. how many lph is your filter because you do have alot of tetras?
most of the mollys you get in shops now dont actually need salt and adding salt to the tank makes no diffrence to them. they used to be brackish but they have been breed in freshwater for so long that all the once you get in shops are perfectly adapted to it and dont actually need the salt.

if you do keep the tiger barbs then you need to get atleast 4 more but you might have to get rid of some fish to get them. do you know what plac it is?
