Re: what snails?
Hmmmm.....I dont know? Maybe they are that colour when young?
Have you bought any plants recently that they could have hitchhiked on?
Oh, if they got in the traps, they'll find their way out into the main tank

Re: what snails?
try looking for pond snails and faucet snails on google. they both have similar shells to the apple but dont get as big and are asexual. HTH

Re: what snails?
they usually only get to a couple of centimeters in size depending on the type of snail, they are more than one that have those markings in the pond snail family. and yes they can and will breed like crazy. faster if you over feed at all!!
this page may have some useful info for ya!

Re: what snails?
thats proberly why theres quite a few them because i have to feed a fair amount or the biggest fry eats it all and the smaller ones get none.

Re: what snails?
more than likely, you can always stick a piece of cucumber or lettuce in there at night and take it out with the snails on it in the morning to try to control the population. they can easily get out of control!!

Re: what snails?
they may be hiding in the substrate. they had to have come in from the tank. try a piece of lettuce in the main tank at night just to see if they come out. hmmm, talk about a "mystery" snail!!! lol
