Oh man!

Oh man!
Is this a sick cory or an alternated colour cory? He is meant to be a habrosus but just cant remember if he has always been on the paler side or if this is a new thing. one of the 6 has always been paler but not sure if this noticeable? With my panic googles on Im thinking he is resting more and more and skinny but then you know me in panic mode!

He does look really washed out and a bit thin.
Can you isolate and observe?

Hmmmm, let me think let me think. Think I still have the 2.5g spare though it will be minimal coverage. Think I will get that setup just in case, thanks for the good thinking!

I know a while ago Van had some bronze cories that all eventually lost their colour like that. Hopefully in QT and treated he'll recover. Will keep my fingers crossed hun.

Re: Oh man!
Did Van treat his bronze and did they survive Netty? I have isolated the little fellow for now and given tasty treats as well as treatment x

Re: Oh man!
Unfortunately he lost all of them but they were still babies and I don't think the tank was mature enough for them.

Re: Oh man!
Thanks for that Kizno feeding some nice variety frozen and none local live and have been soaking in garlic juice (one of my first thougts!) whoever mentioned garlic first on here thanks!
Thanks for that Netty. I have to say I feel such a bad fishkeeper right now..
Since Christmas day i have lost:
Angel fish - internal bacteria
3 gardneri killifish - males jumped and female followed!
Male gourami - weak the day brought him home from the store
10 pygmies - unknown epidemic
Onyx and Reno
I am so careful to ensure they have varied diets, weekly religious water changes occasionally two and do feel it is a losing battle right now. Havent had a sick fish make it, so do try to treat but resign self that they may not make it.

Re: Oh man!
Well I can but assume. The first male went into hiding for a good 3 days so I ended up getting a second male as the female did not like being on her own one bit. Two days later I look in and wonder why there are two males! They had been cohabiting but not to tempt fate moved a pair in with the pandas. Where I found the female was pure evil and grappled with the pandas (not amusing). So then moved them to a 10g on there own quite heavily planted. By this point the other male had gone missing again. The couple seemed fairly happy, the male I chose for her out the two was very attentive but not overbearing. Then he disappeared and being the only two in the one tank couldnt find him anywhere. Hours later the female ended up dying (found her body). Either of the males never found, I suspect they jumped into kittens mouths. For those considering killies, cover those holes (I had minute ones and believe they still found a way!). So putting this down to bad experience and leaving these to others (shame as the males are pure stunning). I think I will stick to my lampeyes and introduce new stock soon as they are good and grow big for me
Oh and on the two male side. Once the female died I rearranged the tank and scoured everything and couldnt find that male, the other that would have been in the community tank, it has been good couple of weeks and not a sighting..
Really sorry to hear about your cory Kizno, I bet that could not have been pleasant for you
Sorry to hear about the apisto as well, but hope they are pulling through?
