Hey all.
I'm Thomas, and I'm 12! I don't keep any fish, but hope to keep a betta soon.
Thats all really,
Thanks [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Re: Hey there
to the forum Tommy. Feel free to ask any questions if you're unsure of anything Here are some things for you to check out while you are learning about the forum:
These first few are quite important and should be read and utilized:
* Forum Rules - Simple guidelines for every member to follow.
* Search Feature - there is a wealth of knowledge here from experienced people. Search
around using this feature and read some of the old posts about your
topics in question. Still feel free to start new threads about anything
though.
* Forum Index - Become familiar with this Index. It has a place for every possible
thread that you’d like to find, or forum you’d like to post to. Think
of this site as a book, with this Index telling you every place to find
information.
…and these will prove to be helpful to you as well.
* Health Section - This section has lots of information on health, diseases, causes and treatments.
* Group Gallery - A quick link to get to groups created by Betta Paradise members as well as the
photos associated with them. Definitely join some groups and keep this
feature active.
Be sure to click around on as many links on these forums as
possible. There are a lot of features here that can be helpful and
resourceful. Definitely explore the place to see everything Betta Paradise has
to offer.
Hope you enjoy!

Hoping to get into the worl of betta's. I'm only wanting a single one, and the smallest tank, as I have limited space, so what would be the smallest tank?
Thanks

Re: Hey there
Hey, that sounds great.
Just been reading on another forum about fish. Not sure if you talk about other sort of fish here [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
But I saw someone said that WCM(White cloud minnows) were coldwater? Is this true? If so, what size tank?
Sorry for all the questions, but I want to get it right!
Thanks,
Tom

Re: Hey there
I thought it was you when you asked lol Yes I have lots of cresties too.
You'll find we have a reptile section here too
For a small tank the Aquastart 320s are very nice and compact. Would be an ideal starter tank for a Betta

yh theres a few diffrent forums on here for all diffrent fish. wcmm are coldwater they prefer to live between 15-20C but can still live a good life at about 25C but i think they dont live for aslong the hotter the water. they really wouldnt like it at 27-28C which bettas like.

Re: Hey there
Welcome to the forum Tommy.
If you have a Pets At Home near you then check out their Clearseal tanks. They're pretty basic to look at but a 6gallon comes in at £20 which frees up some money for filter, heater etc. etc. Worth a looky.

Re: Hey there
Hello Tommy,
Welcome! I joined a couple days ago, I am also twelve and I am very excited to be starting my first betta sorority tank tomorrow! I have had 2 male bettas, and 2 females in the past, and now have one female named Echo who will be a part of my sorority tank. To answer your question, a 2.5 gallon tank is the bare minimum, but like someone else said, a 5 gallon is much better once you get a filter, plants, bubbler, etc. Best of luck!
