how do you use airline for cleaning?

i have no idea how to do it, so if someone could give me a step-by-step guide that would be great!

I attached it to a bottle then it created a 1 second vaccum effect but it doesnt work that well.

bottle? i just use the airline tube on its own in my bettas tank so i dont suck up the pygmy corys. you just have to put one end in the tank and suck on the other end and then take your mouths of quick defore it goes in your mouth lol .

i use a childs medicine dropper to start the sucktion on mine and those things you use to suck out their nose when they are stuffy, ill find ya a pic if you want. i have so many from the kids that i just swipped a couple of the extras, but they would be cheap. i zip tied the bottom of a plastic hanger to the part that goes in the tank to keep it straight! thanks to netty for that one:)

i might have to try and find one of them sucker things never though of that saves me getting it in my mouth sick

Yeh, just use the airline like you would any other syphon tube thumbup

You can attatch it to some kind of plastic stick to make it easier to manoeuvre around the tank.

that's why i use them, to keep it out of my mouth!!! sick

i have a sensitive stomach when it comes to things like that!!

if you just want to get bits of muck out turkey basters are really good. I have a hoover thing that you use in bio orbs, you dont get a mouth full of fish poo as you just have to squeeze it. there are also 2 different attachments to put on the end.
