Hey guys im thinking of getting my girl a friend. Whats a good size tank for 2-3 girls. I'd like to know the lowest size to the highest plz Smile

Hi
It is better to either keep females singularly or in a group of at least 5. With 2 or 3 it is likely that one will be bullied a fair bit. I personally wouldn't keep a group of 5 in anything less than 15 gallons (UK gallons), and heavily planted. Looking at the lowest size tank to the highest possible number is lining yourself up for problems, and it really isn't worth the agro.

hey guys i decided to just get a tank big enough for one female betta but while i was setting it up i use warm to hot water to rinse of cartridge instead of cold water like the book said(didnt read it Embarassed). is that a bad thing Question

Awww really? is there a way i could find out? maybe i should just get another cartridge cuz it did make a funny sizzling noise wen i rinsed it Shocked and i wanna make sure all the carbon dust is gone so i can put in there.

the sizling noise is the activated carbon. mine does that too!
and dont worry about rinsing it with the hot, it should be fine. just whwen you do water changes use the tank water to swish it in:)
