New Guppies

Post by SheenaShoup on Mon Mar 08, 2010 1:38 am

My honey brought home 2 guppies Very Happy , one is gold, tail looks spotted and thin, the other one looks to be a blonde tux but looks really fat I took pic, they are in the Gallery because I don't know how to load to the post yet. The tux is colorful, but could it still be female? It's really hyper! Love lolol

Now I think that the fat one is a boy, who is just a little piglet! sick When I fed them a little Sniper(Tux) and Golden just gobbled up as quickly as possible. lolol
They are pretty little gobblers though!

If you could get closer photos of the guppies we'll be able to tell you if they're male or female.

They're all great looking fish! Hellboy is a dude! Smile

Well, I am not sure what happened as Sniper was fine when we left for the movies, but when I got home I noticed him missing. He has gone to the big tank in the sky. Sad Him and Golden were in with the betta to offset the small number because the store has no more girls ATM, so I removed golden and put him in with the other guppies and separated Angeline from Lucy Lu and Maddona as those two are ok together, I hope they get more girls in soon so this sorority will work. But RIP little Sniper, you were a good little man! Sad

how many males and females do you have now? you need atleast twice as many females aws males or tyhey will get harrassed.
the best way to sex them is by the shape of the anal fin females will have wide fan like ones but males will have pointed ones.
this might help more

i know there platys but there fins are the same as guppys.
