(HELLO ALL!!!)

Post by Guest on Fri Mar 19, 2010 1:14 am

I'm Mike,
Kinda new in the betta game but if you ask anyone who knows me I tend to take every thing to extreme,
I am working on my first betta barracks 30 tanks, I have had my first spawn about a hundred fry and have 5 more spawning tanks going I have 3 crown males 1 half sun male 1 half moon male a half moon female 2 royal blue crown females 3 reg crown females, and I have been doing this for about a month lol. told ya! I have a double tail half moon male on order and every Tuesday when petco gets there new shippment of Betta in I'm there its only about a 2 hour drive for me but they have the best stock in a pet shop around, I'm interested in plakats but I really don't care for the fighting thing, I see people on line that are into that and I just don't get it, maybe its me.

any info or tips for a newbe drop me a line at

Here are some things for you to check out while you are learning about the forum:

These first few are quite important and should be read and utilized:

* Forum Rules - Simple guidelines for every member to follow.
* Search Feature - there is a wealth of knowledge here from experienced people. Search
around using this feature and read some of the old posts about your
topics in question. Still feel free to start new threads about anything

* Health Section - This section has lots of information on health, diseases, causes and treatments.
* Group Gallery - A quick link to get to groups created by Betta Paradise members as well as the
photos associated with them. Definitely join some groups and keep this

wow great response where do I start, I do have the set ups to house the male fry but I'm going to keep them together until they get nippy lol, the coconut cave I was thinking small clay flower pots sitting upside down with a 1 inch hole drilled in them, clay would clean easy. I will post pics soon, so are most of the people here from the uk?
(the rules I was a site admin for a domain site then went to doing promo's and coding when I was into pit bulls but I have a new son so the dogs had to go, great dogs they were like my kids but now I have a real kid so bye bye pups lol, guess thats why I started getting into betta's bounce

as soon as I get the barracks done I will drop some pics, do they do the barracks set up over sea's I'm in the states

Hi Mike,
Good to hear from you! From all I have seen most of the members are from the UK although there are a few of us here in the US, I live in Alaska! I am a newbee still, although I have had betta in the last three years. The first two, I had no clue, and no computer to find out, yang died early, but yin lived 11/2 years. he was adult when I got him. Next was herby and when he got sick I had comp and found this site, (Not in time though Sad ) had him a year or so, Now I have Ric Flair and Phinneus and due to all the help I have gotten here, they are both settling in and doing good, still working on my levels though. So sorry about your puppies! crying I know it is hard when you have to give up family members! congrat on the new children! I hope you enjoy your time here and check out all the links, good info on bettas and more! The store has great info for stuff like breeding and check out the gallery and betta showcase to drool at pics! Good to have you here! cheers

Everyone seems to like all kinds, although CT, HM, and VT seem really lovely. I grew up here and I love it, but my honey needs a warmer climate so we are moving to NC in a few years. As for links, the pink banner that says Betta Paradise is a shop and in the 'basement', very bottom of the forum page, the very last link is a a place to find links, I drool over Netty and Tilly's babies!! Love I have no clue about auquabid, check out lower on the forum page and find links for any ande everything, most of us talk about our bettas in the second section, Betta Talk. hope this helps, click the forum button on the top and start scrolling, you can return to the forum also by scrolling a little further down on this page and clicking Betta-Paradise! Very Happy

Unfortunately we don't ship overseas. Aquabid would be a good place to get some from as it's fairly easy to buy from there into the USA. You could also try [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] she has some very nice ones for sale sometimes.
