Re: (HELLO ALL!!!)
Remeber, when you click on links to scroll down, a lot of the links have 'stickys' which are helpful information on certain topics, past that you will find the reg links. Also at the top next to post a reply is a link to the forum same as on the bottom. Red fish means new posts, blue no new posts, and red with x no longer active.
LFS- local fish store , Netty was just on here saying they don't ship overseas and I do not know if Tilly does

Click the big black box Tilly is on this site also.

This is The store, scroll down and on the side are links for great info!

Re: (HELLO ALL!!!)
I'm afraid Tilly doesn't ship overseas either. Not many from the UK will because of the time it takes for the Betta to arrive and also the cost and legal implications.
In the UK it's illegal to import from Aquabid without having a licence to import. If you're caught you face very large fines, possible imprisonment and the confiscation of the fish. Most countries have a transhipper that deals with all this by receiving the fish and then shipping to you. The UK used to have one but that was a couple of years ago.

Re: (HELLO ALL!!!)
get your licences to import and mass import betta in to the uk, omg if I was in your shoe's and there was no transhipper I would have 300 barracks set up in my house and all the betta in the uk would come from me lol

Re: (HELLO ALL!!!)
We have thought about it but it's alot of hassle. We had a small amount of imports once at cost price and half of them arrived with bitten off tails so alot of work involved to get them well enough to be sold on. Then if you can't sell them all you're left with lots more to take care of.

Re: (HELLO ALL!!!)
what about finding a really good breeder in Thailand and work out a deal on a large number of fish if you had someone you trusted there to pick out the fish and get them ready to ship one shipment would be all you would need. Really you could run 100 tanks off one system hook a hot tub pump with built in line heater on pump costa around 100 usd here would clean and heat water for 100 tanks all at once,
I install these pumps everyday on my walk in tubs if they can keep a human warm they can keep fish warm
but then again, maybe a little touch of Megalomania over here in the states lol

Re: (HELLO ALL!!!)
LOL....don't even go there. We had a spawn last year of 114 babies and was the hardest work ever to get them grown on enough. Think we're happy with the small scale hobby for now
Plus we have a houseful of reptiles, dogs and cats that need our attention too.
