Re: Your first ever tanks
you guys know the bulb things that you use to suck snot out of a babies nose? that is what i use to start all of my siphons. works better than even the ones you have to pump. then you get no water in your mouth. they sell them anywhere you can get baby stuff like nail clippers and soaps.
edit: here is the exact one i use! [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Cool, Nice to Meet you Harry,
look around and go to welcomes and introductions so everyone can say HI! I have gotten ocean water in me before ,so I have an idea!
Did the poo add flavor?

Re: Your first ever tanks
LOL this topic has taken a turn that's making me giggle! I'd be too scared of drinking fish waste to do that sucking on the end thing.
ETA: my first proper tank was 60L with 3 common goldies in
as soon as I found out their real requirements and not what my hated pet shop told me, I rehomed the commons and now have a 4ft fancy goldfish tank, my biggest being a black moor who's now at 7-8inches... this time last year he was 1inch!!!
