Thanks for the kind words guys Very Happy . Its very sad that he passed on, I suppose it would of been better than him suffering for longer whilst I tried to make him better, and to make it worse my first rescue dieing makes me even more upset. I haven't managed to get to the shop and have school tommorow, so will probably just discard the body as I can't get there Sad. I'm still going to at least e-mail/ring them about this. R.I.P Aqua.

Yeah I think I'll try and go tommorow, I believe they are open untill late tommorow anyway. This sounds a little weird, but is there anyway I can 'preserve' the body untill tommorow? Sad.

Keep him in some water from the tank in a cup like they give at the store or a plastic baggie rubber banded off?

Best way is to put him in the fridge in his bag - i've done that to claim back for a dead fish from a shop before

Heres some more bad news. Flame has died, he seemed really well and the next he was dead. I took both the bodies back and got a refund. I havent got another rescue as I'm not to sure what is in their water or something for a 'healthy' betta to just die for no reason? My waters fine, he was in a strict quaritene system so couldnt of been from anything else. Strange but R.I.P Aqua & Flame.

Yeah, Its just sad that both of them eventually died. I spoke to the manager and he was disgusted at the fin rot the employee didnt notice! And he apparently has had alot of complaints.

So sorry you lost Flame too. I doubt very much it was anything you did but more likely they were both not in the best of condition when you got them. This unfortunately is quite common with shop bought bettas.

Ive always found in the LFS here that, vtails are oldish and don't last very long anyways. Howevr none of the V-tails arround here are in goo shape.

LFS should be traind, and have a licence to sell fish.

I've only realised that I must have posted after the bad news. Sad

RIP Aqua. Jake, you gave him a safe environment for a few days & tried to help him. Nobody can ask for any more than that.

These weren't very old and are half the size of Embry, Aqua I understand why he died, but Flame has really baffled me Suspect

Thanksss! Its good that I got them first. The employee recommended keeping with 'any tropical fish, only grow to the size of the tank and hardly seeing them is normal'. I really hope he gets fired soon as, but it was quite obvious he had either Autism or some Learning difficulties.
