Finding a small tank with built in filter(2.5-5 gallons) for under $20?
Ok I started my sorority tank on Saturday and it is going great, but while I was at the store buying them I saw a really unique male betta and I just have to have him, he has a somewhat cow-like pattern in purple and white and is very cool. I would really like him but I just spent a bunch of money on the sorority tank so I am on a budget, I would prefer a tank that comes with a filter but feel free to tell me where I can get one without, if it does not come with a Filter I prefer it to be around $10 or less. Please let me know if I can get this at a chain and if it is online then please give a link! I would prefer a chain as I want to get him soon but online would be ok too!

Can you look for second hand tanks and then make your own sponge filter?

Maybe if you have a Petsmart? We don't here in AK, and the smallest w/filter is the one I got 5g for $69, may be cheaper down there. as for small w/out filter a lot of choices in plastic in the $10-15 range.

I use the silk plants, a bit more expensive, but pretty and worth it if they don't hurt my babies!

mines 6.5 normally without the wood. 7.2 is a good ph for most common fish.

It is cause I am doing daily changes til my cycle is up and running, then after that I will lower it to 7 and leave it at that!

dont use any of that chemical ph lowerer stuff. it makes the ph really unstable.

How come you're lowering your pH? I think your pH is pretty good already

Ok, but leaving the water over night will lower the levels won't it? Then I can heat it and add it after the conditioning stuff.
The lfs has there water set at 7 and so I was trying to get it alike.

no the ph doesnt change unless you add somethink to the tank or add water with a diffrent ph. do you know what your tap waters ph is? tbh a change from 7 to 7.2 wont effect the fish at all so imo just leave it at what it is
