i would just leave it that wont effect the fish at all. boiling wont make no diffrence and the waters fine anyway. if you really want to lower it add some wood just dont use the chemicals the make it really unstable.

As long as you acclimatise the fish for the 30mins suggested I don't think the pH change will affect the fish at all. Different if you have fish with specific needs like discus or something. I think the chemicals cause more trouble than they're worth Smile

I know that plastic plants can rip betta's fins but I made sure that the plants are very smooth and don't have any edges that can rip betta's fins. I like real plant's but just can't keep them alive.

try wood mine used to love doging in and out of it. plants like java furn and java moss need bearly any light to they would work.

There are different types of artificial plants.....plastic and silk Very Happy Go for the silk ones and you shouldn't have a problem thumbup
