How long can a betta go without food?

Need some answers quite quickly, as by 5pm i'll know if I need to go into hospital for tests for a weird thing i've got going on atm Sad

I don't want anyone tampering with my tanks if i'm away as last time it was stressfull and they were overfed.

Today, my fish have had a good feeding of blood and black worms and have been having pellets 2x daily the past few days. Will it be ok to leave them without food for a few days? Realllllly panicking now Sad

ok Here we go you can leave your betta's for a week without food so they should be absolutely fine as long as you are sure of your water quality and obviously you give them a good feed before you go which you have Smile dont worry

hope everything goes well for you. your babies will be waiting for you when you get home, they will be fine. I leave mine a week when I go away, as I dont trust anyone else to feed them. now if someone from the forum lived round the corner thumbup

Thanks very much people Very Happy they were very hungry when I got back LOL. Lost a CT but he was poorly when I left so it wasn't a surprise really... still sad though.
