hi and welcome
watch out with the golden nugget they get big about 1 foot but they are slow growing. they also get extremly agressive with other bottom dwellers or when they get a good few inches long.

Thanks for the advise Kizno1 Smile I know they grow quite big, i looked at the blue phantom plec first but then noticed he would grow to about 50cm which is far too big for my tank even though he was gorgeous. At the mo he's very small id say about an inch long had him a week and noticed he's very shy and hides behind the filter most the time is this normal?? confused01
Thanks for the welcome wilsonw8 Very Happy

golden neggets will get between 8" and 12" so will at some point get to big for your tank but they are really slow growing so should be ok in there for a while. they are timid when there small or new to a tank but ones they get to about 10cm they get extreamly agressive. if the albino catfish in your tank is a cory then you need to up the group to 6 because they are shoaling fish. what are the loaches?

Im not sure what type of loaches they are they are a creamy/yellow colour and have grown to about 2 inches, he's about a year old, iv put a picture of him in the gallery, iv only got 2 cory's at the moment.

the corys need to be upped to 6 and them loaches will have to go. there chinese algea loaches and there fine when there small but will get to 15cm and tear other fish to shreds i mean ive hear people that have had these kill oscars.

Well iv got 2 smaller tanks so when the baby mollies get big enough they can have a swap about, its the biggest cream loach that bit my male betta, he got an infection and died...it had to be him as there was nothing else in the tank. crying

When you go to these pet stores they dont tell you anything about them, but i got them as i wanted a loach to clean up! The description on said he'd grow to 7cm.

they really need to go then if they have started attacking fish. all LFSs care about is making money. shrimps, killi loaches or ottos will work better as a clean up crew.

I have to admit they do keep the tank very very clean...he's not attacked nobody else just Ferrari my betta, it must have been he's long fins that attracted him to attack him...but Ferrari was no angel littleangel i had seen him once flare at the loach and nip him but i suppose they are gonna give as good as they get...but this time Ferrari came off worse! Really miss him loads Sad
Thank you for all the good advise Smile it helps loads
