FIRE!!!

I don't know if any of you have heard already but yesterday a place called country market (where my local maidenhead aquatics was based) burnt to the ground. I am soooo gutted it's unbelievable! The fire started at 5am and it took ten fire engines from 3 counties 5 hours to put it out. Country market was our local farmshop which also had units for other shops, such as MA, pampurred pets, caroles crafts and a couple of others. The building is now just a charred shell, the fire brigade are still trying to determine the cause.

I have checked the MA website and according to them all the fish were saved and relocated to other MA's in the local area, although the severity of the fire makes me doubt that their statement is true, most of the animals in PP died, only a few that were kept out the back store room were rescued.

Just thought i would share my dispair with everyone as i now have no choice but to get my fishy supplies from a very dodgy lfs which is well know for dead fish, disease and very little knowledge of anything!

thats awful! all those poor people and animals!! no people were hurt right? sorry i dont have enough time to read the articles yet. hopefully the fire wasnt started on purpose!

No flip no people were hurt, the owner was taken in for smoke inhalation but he's fine now. They haven't found the cause yet....

Those poor animals, I am so sorry Crystal, my prayers go out to all involved! that is so horrible!

That's terrible! I'm terrified of my house catching fire (have a bit of an issue of spending ages checking plugs before I leave the house, lmao) so this sort of thing is really scary for me. Those poor animals that perished

My heart goes out to all those involved. I hate hearing story's like that.

I have the same scary feeling silverrabbit. I would'nt now what to do. How would I grab all my babies! I dont even want to think about it!
