bruce had a feast

my betta ate his first earthworm today lol,, he seemed to enjoy it, it took him about 10minutes,, he would swim around the tank looking very proud with an worm hanging out of his mouth and everynow and then hed swallow a bit more lol

Sounds like fun, but by earthworm do you mean a worm out of the garden? Unless you culture your own worms in a box you cant be sure the worm is safe. It could have been contaminated with chemicals or pesticides.

never fed them on earthworms! I think I will stick to bloodworms! Smile is it ok for them to eat muddy worms?

Just trying to think of the size of the worm compared to the betta... Shocked it's like the equivalent of a human trying to shove a whole aubergine down their throats lol

I know lots of people feed earthworms to their cichlids, but i'd have thought they'd be too big for a betta

He should be good for the next few days! Little piggies, they will just keep eating! Very Happy I know I have to watch mine, they will look all cute trying to get me to feed them more, even though their little tummies are big and round! rofl

lol i was thinking how did he eat that it would have been as long as him. i still wouldnt recommend it you never know what one it if you want to treat it bloodworm would be best.
