I think there are 9. Maybe 10 as it's hard to tell with the torn piece. But I'm also not very good at counting rays either.

If you can count 9 rays, it'll be a 10 ray as its always an even number thumbup

If you take a look at this picture, the outer 2 rays of each branch have been outlined. So you would count the 2 outlined and all in between.

I"ll have to keep trying. He's just starting to display at Frost. I think I've only seen him do it twice in the last week. Otherwise he just swims around. I think he's still a baby and doesn't quite know what he's doing.

Thanks. I'm pleased with him, too. I"ve determined that the black edge was fin rot as it's starting to get tatty and disappear with new growth behind. We'll see how he looks in a few weeks.
