125L Betta tank

Post by jasminek on Sat May 01, 2010 12:48 pm

Hi everyone, I'm really sorry I haven't been on here much. But I'm going to start coming on here more and help people out, I've had alot of school work, it's a busy school year for me.
Anyway, I have a spare 125l tank seen as the tank mates died, I was thinking of moving the 4 girls I have into there later on today maybe, and then in a few weeks or so buying more females. Upto how many females could i have in this 125l/33G tank?
Alphie could do with having a section in there but think he'll be fine in his 25l tank. Smile
I'm going to have to take out all the gravel and replace it with sand, gonna be a big job if i decide to do it today, I just don't want my betta's in a little tank and this tank has good lighting so plants would grow well. Let me know your thoughts on this.
Thanks Smile

That sounds great! (what happend to the goldfish?)

Id say about 12 females, and then you could get other fish aswell. IE, cories or even tetras.

They would love it!

Sounds like a great number, the tank would look amazing densely planted and with some cories and stuff.

sounds good. :]
i would go for the female bettas and a few other small community fish like
10 galaxy rasbora or endler
10 pygmy corys
5 ancor or 4 two spot catfish if you can find them
