doesnt look right?

im looking at aquabid and saw this boy but he really doesnt look right to me, but i also havent seen what a rose tail looks like as it is growing its fins, but it looks like his back is messed up too. am i just seeing things or is he deformed?

gah! i just read under the pic and for proof of DOA they want the usual pic and a pic of the CUT OFF TAIL! that is disgusting, i could never cut the tail off of a fish. i would rather take the loss of the money!

I know the seller you're talking about! I thought that was a little harsh, too. *shudders* And that poor fish has been listed and relisted for over a month now. He looks kind of...battered. Maybe it's just a bad picture. But that seller has relisted many of the same fish over the past month. I only know this, because he's the only US breeder who would ship here, and otherwise it's too expensive.

Poor little fish looks like its in terrible condition, my Haku is a rosetail and he looks nothing like that. As Taelin said he looks battered!

I couldn't believe when I read "the tail cut off" part. Surely that isn't a professional or responsible thing to go? Heartless git. Makes me so mad.

He isn't a good fish at all, poor boy.

Bad line across his back, mess up caudal, scale deformities. He's an extreme rosetail and IMO, should not be bred.

Hope he finds a good home where they don't want to breed him!

I can understand why they are asking you to remove tail on DOA. The fish is dead and they want proof, not just a shot of a fish that isn't moving. They're trying to avoid being scammed. I don't think they are too worried about desecrating the body of a dead fish.

i understand they want proof, but i know that to a lot of betta owners and any other fish for that matter you are buying them as a pet adn i couldnt cut off the tail. if i had the room i would buy him just to make sure he had a good home and wasnt bred. hmmm if i get the tank i asked for for mothers day i just might. doubt he will get it for me though Sad

Yeah, my fish are doted on like any of my pets. I wouldn't cut the tail off one of my dogs so doing it to one of my fish would be a no go too. Just my opinion though. Smile
