You can use any aquatic plants you like for them. Floating plants like frogbit or duckweed are good and they like to hang about in the roots of them.
Some of the one I have in my females tank are moss balls, java fern which looks nice tied onto some wood. vallis, cabomba grows really well too and gets very tall and bushy. I also have hygrophilia difformis which grows like a weed and can be floated or planted.

Thanks Netty, i have frogbit and mini water lettuce in my other betta tanks they love it, so will put some of that in.
I also have moss balls, i really like those too gorgeous fluffy green balls!
Im so happy you said that as i really love the hair grass, i was thinking about getting some of that moss floor from ebay. I want my tank so there's lots of places to hide.

Good luck with it all and don't forget to show it all off when it's finished
My sorority tank is the only tank I've successfully kept live plants in so far lol

Well i need to wait till i can afford an external filter (next pay day!) then set it all up...really looking forward to doing it as il have my females in the livingroom rather than the kitchen, lol!
I think il need to wait until after my holiday to Ireland, we go on the 29th May which really is only a week away!
So may put gravel in for now then when i get back get the plants to put in the tank as il have my filter by then!
Excited, lol!
