Stocking

Post by kizno1 on Tue May 25, 2010 4:53 pm

Im thinking about restocking my 30G because the angels keep fighting and im going to stock my apistos tank now there in a 21G
the 30G has a flurval 404 which does 1300LPH
the stocking im thinking is
3 bn 1m 2f
4 upside down catfish
1 banjo
2 whiptails or plecs or hoplo
trio of apisto
4 butterfly fish or 8 hatchets
i know theres alot of bottom dwellers but there are loads of caves and wood

the 21G has a flurval 3+ which does 700LPH but i might add another small filter or a external
the stocking
4 hatches
2 killis
3 apisto
6 pygmy corys
4 panda corys
2 starlight bns, clown pelcs or chocolate zebra plecs

how does that look?

I like the sound of those. You have great filtration too. I love the butterfly fish, wish I could have some but think they'd get beaten up

Ive changed my mind a little i think i might go for something like this
21G
6 pygmy corys
5 peppered corys
4 panda corys
3 apisto 1m 2f
3 killis
6 tetra
6 hatchets

and in the 30g
3 upside down catfish
4 BNs 1m 3f
1 banjo
8 glowlight tetra
8 rasbora
2 butterfly fish

the only problem i can see is im not sure if the butterflys would eat the tatra and rasbora. if i dont get the butterfly fish then i might swapp them for 2 more banjos.

30g
3 upside down catfish
3 BNs 1m 2f
2 or 3 gold marble bns 1m 1 or 2 f
3 banjo
8 glowlight tetra
8 rasbora

im going to leave out the butterfly fish becasue im worred they will eat the tetra, rasbora and any fry.

Ive changed my mind again
14g
6 pygmy corys
5 peppered corys
3 apisto 1m 2f
6 tetra
pair of ancistrus claro

and in the 30g
3 upside down catfish
3 BNs 1m 2f
1 banjo
6 glowlight tetra
6 rasbora
6 hatchets
2 kills

And im going to try and make a breeding setup for the bns with 3 small divided tanks all running of of one sump so all the ages can be split up because if i put them with the older fry they get bullied out of food and starve and if i leave them in my tnk then there an expensive meal for the banjo.
