Swapping sides of tank?

Swapping sides of tank?
So both my tanks are divided and house 2 bettas. Each section is "decorated" differently so that its more appealing for me to look at. I'm selfish I know!
I was wondering if swapping the fish now and again to alternating sides would be a good idea or a bad idea? Would the different environments be something they would enjoy exploring or not?

each betta varies.
I had some that never cared about being moved - and I have agoraphobic ones that would not come out unless put back in his own section - I could decorate them the same but he knew!

I'll maybe give it a go then!
I can always put them back if somebody doesn't approve!

Yeah I mean you can, but I would re arrange the furniture in each side for stimulation rather than swopping sides just because each betta has its own little territory and if there are bubbles made by the other male on the "new" side it could be a bit stressful, i.e. might give the feeling that they are intruding on territory rather than swopping over

I swap mine over usually every 2-3wks so they can explore new environments. Never usually have a problem, apart from last nights fiasco with Tyson & Wizard deciding they'd both like to be in one particular section.
I tend to swap when I remove them all for a big water change, wash furniture & rearrange, then swap a couple boys about.

Yeah I think swopping sides after a clean out is fine, Ive just found if you literally just switch bettas they can become a bit bewlidered

Re: Swapping sides of tank?
Well I did my 50% water change, removed Smurf and Kaito during it and then swapped them into each other's section. Smurf immediately set to work making his second ever bubble nest and Kaito just seems to have got on with it. Kaito is my biggest bubble nest builder and he hasn't built one yet so I'm keeping my eye on him.
