Going to strip it!

Going to strip it!
Iv decided the 21 litre hexagon tank is going to be stripped today! Im fed up of the brown spotty algae on the side of the tank that grows back like wild fire!
Washing with milton baby bleach hopefully that'll shift it forever!! (well maybe not forever,lol!) but longer than a day!
Bought some blue gravel to go in there on top of the light blue & clear pebbles...new start
Photos later when its done.

I used the milton to clean the 100 litre tank and as yet there are no signs of the horrid algae slime stuff and its been 3 weeks that its been up and running...does it work long term...who knows i suppose time will tell!

one of my little tanks has that horrid black hairy algae! another has tiny baby snails, I put some lettuce in and got most of them out, but I noticed a few more today. I wish I had a puffer fish!

Nice looking tank! Did you make your own cave? How old is Haku? He's a beaut!

The tanks are looking nice Natalie! Once you get some live plants in the hex it'll look good. And when you get a fish in there, it'll look even better! ;-) Those coconut caves are so adorable, I cna just imagine the bettas resting in their like little castaways!

Yeah, I do like like the caves over pots. At least for my c/t Sterling. I can pick one up at the lfs for the same price as a whole coconut. More privacy if they
desire it.

Haku looks great, his tail is filling out really nicely! (I have his brother
)
I hate the algae you mentioned! Algae is such a pain. Onething I don't understand is how everyone seems to get snail problems, yet I'm desperate for snails for my puffers and I never get snails in my tanks
