My betta tank

Post by Nataliey on Thu Jul 01, 2010 2:53 pm

This is my 100 litre tank, which has now been planted...my females seem to be very happy with them they keep investigating them and swimming between them.

Heres a few photos:

Looking super Very Happy I would add some plants or a nice piece of wood across the centre of the tank to break up the line of sight across the tank. Females tend to behave better when there are lots of hiding places.

Looks really nice. I love the coconut shell in the back. You're lucky you can manage live plants. I even kill java ferns :P I agree that a big piece of wood in the center would look great, maybe a tall one pointing upwards toward the top? Are you planning on adding more fishies? That's an awfully big tank for three little girls!

PS: That bright blue girl is lovely. She's just like BAM look at me!

Thanks everyone for comments, iv actually added a couple more items in my tank today and my females seem to like what iv done so far, thankfully...hardly any tail bashing since the plants went in.

I cleaned my light & bubble volcano this morning and put that in, the little girls keep swimming and playing in the bubbles, I also put a large resin toadstool in there and they keep hiding underneath the lip...its so cute.

Im looking into either getting an arched piece of wood or a resin stone cave.

Sounds good. You could make a stone or slate cave. Its cheaper than it is to buy one at my lfs.

TBH i really dont have time to make anything for my tank not with 3 young children to look after...so i find it easier to just buy things for my tank. Iv decided not to get slate caves as iv got a theme for my tank atm which is prehistoric just need a dinosaur in there now...lol!

So far, just want either a wood arch or a resin stone cave/hide for the middle:

The girls love to hide under the lip of the toadstool:

That tank is looking great. I love the volcano and the plant attached to the wood. What has all your girls so interested in the first picture lol. They're all chilling in the same spot.

They like the toadstool the best and the coconut caves they rest on top of the moss on the cave must be soft and cozy, lol!!
