Tank rack
I want to make a rack of tanks for my bn fry Because if i leave then in the tank my banjo munches them and if i move them into the tank with be bigger fry they get bullied out of food a starve.
So which design do you think would work best? there terrible drawing but i just did them quickly on paint.

The second one would be alot easier and safer option because it wont be 4 shelves hight and need to be as sturdy. But im not sure how good the filtration would work in the second i think the filtration in the first one will be alot better. Im thinking over all the 2nd one will be best but just wanted to see other people opinions.

That would take some fiddling to get the flow correct I 'd think. Either shelf system you might select I'd secure to the wall with L-brackets of sorts' They don't have to be large ones, just for insurance!

Re: Tank rack
I would PM incognito if I were you.
She runs the little tubs off a sump and there are around 6 across and 6 up. (or more?)
She uses a simple plastic tub from somewhere like home bargains with a pump and heater in the sump and filters all the tubs

Im going to go for the 2nd one but in a L shape and add another level with 1 54L tank on top to keep just the adult bns in there to free some space in my 30G for a pair of cichlids :]

Re: Tank rack
Good choice Kiz! The L- shape will be more stable. Starting soon, or still in the dreaming and planning stage?

That'll keep you busy! Having them on a rack definitely makes better use of your space! I can't beat that into some peoples heads around here!

Re: Tank rack
Just a bit but it will be worth it ones its up and running. Yh theres not much space with 4 other tanks in my room between 30-10G hahah and then i can have them all running of of i sump and 1 heater rather than having them all septate.
