Thats a real large tank. Are you sure you want to deal with it? If you divide it, won't it make for awful high compartments?

Ive decided im not going to divide it im just going to let all the babies live together in a tank that big there shouldnt be to much of a problem with the big ones bullying the smaller ones. Im going to keep a few trios of apisto in there aswell they dont really seem to be eating the fry. I think im going to use the 15G or the 21G as a sump instead. Im not sure what ill do with the other tanks. It will be a while after doing this before i have the money to stock them anyway so i dont need to decide any time soon.

Sounds like me as I'm in no hurry either. I did narrow down to three types of killifish if I go that way. Blue gualris, australe, and diapteron georgeae (pupfish). Expensive though. Honestly out of my budget, but one can dream!

There good choses :] I cant really help you out that much one the gualris and georgeae but i know the australe killis are alot like the steel blues i have.
Ive managed to save up a bit from selling the bn fry but no where near as much as i like lol. I should have enough to buy the tank and then i will sell all my fish apart from the apisto, bns, pygmy and panda corys which should give he a bit but i want to buy a few albino longfin female bns and a few more pair/trios of apisto so will be saving up for a while. Ive given up on the snakeheads for the moment because the cheapest i can find them is £20 each and i will need atleast 4 so i think ill go for the puffers or dwarf pike but like i said thats a long way off yet.

The little buggers are getting expensive these days, but its worth it. I hope they appreciate all the maintenance! lol!

They stopped all the bus service by my house on Sundays so I switched days for w/c's and general cleaning from Saturdays as I'm stuck anyway.

Have to find pure ammonia to start the fishless cycle in one of my tanks. I can't find it at the grocery store anymore. None of the hardware stores show it on line either. I'll find it!

They are worth it there great looking fish.

Thats a pain i just do them whenever i get time i dot really set a day.

I dont have a clue where you would get it ive never needed it. Why dont you just use a little bit of media from a tank thats already cycled and then slowly stock it? if you where closer i could post you some but it would die by the time it gets to you.

Better in route than here! lol!

I have a cycled 3 stage with a sponge and the new(used) one is a bio-bag 3 stage. I suppose I could split the sponge and add it to the bag. I have a spare sponge and I could trim it to replace the removed portion.

Does't adding food help too? I really don't have money for fish yet, but would like to start the cycling. Thats why I wanted ammonia for the fishless cycle.

Yh you can use fish food or you can use a shrimp and leave it in the tank which will produce ammonia as it rots.

Will the shrimp survive cycling? I do have stresszyme I could add. I do understand its overrated and really don't plan on buying more.

Sorry i meet a prawn not shrimp. As it starts to decay it will release ammonia which will cycle the tank.

Haha. Yh i did went quite a few times and saw loads. I went of a boat ones where the water was about 40 feet deep but most of the time i just went in the sea behind the hotel you take one step in and you can already see fish. I saw 4 lionfish a blue spot stingray, a stone fish, a scorpion fish, a massive moray eel, a few sea snakes,2 barracudas that where atleast 3 foot long ,about 6 different types of puffers, loads of parrot fish and trigger fish in all different colours, a 3foot long Napoleon fish, loads of clown fish and i got attacked by one lol, hundreds of needle and hundreds of other little fish over the corals.
