Funny feeling...

I have a funny feeling as India my female betta has grown up iv noticed her ovi spot has kinda disappeared and she has a full flare as a male would, she chases the girls everywhere and they are always hiding from her! Is she just an aggressive female and can females have a really small ovi spot??
I cant even see her spot when her ventral fins are up near her body and with all my other females i can. Iv tried the mirror test and she doesnt flare at her reflection just swims from side to side looking at herself in the mirror, but saying that i cant really go off that test as Asia and Casper my new HMPK dont flare in the mirror just swim from side to side like she does in a mirror.

Il try to get photos but its so hard as she's very active! but il see what i can do!

It will be interesting to find out if India is a lad/lassie! He/she could have had you all fooled.

I really want her to be a girl like i orginally thought as i bought Asia for her!!

2 of my girls look a bit suspect to me as well.....

I think my suspisions may be right about male as last night i notice she wasnt coming out the tree stump very aggressive over it everyone else NOT allowed in! Thought nothing of it and this morning coz 1 of my new CT females was missing, i paniced after the 2 females id lost. So lifted the tree stump up and there she was with India and shes got breeding stripes...should i panic now or when iv removed India?? Is India a boy? I dont want her to spawn with India if he is a boy!!

Iv taken some photos but cant catch a flare but when i do see a flare it looks kinda round if you know what i mean...can only really see from the back and the cheeks come out and a black bit round the bottom.

Im doing my best to get a flared picture.
So what do you think? I keep zooming in to see if i can see an ovi spot and i cant.

The anal fin does look quite pointed like a males. I would say it looks like a male but dont take my word for that because im normally wrong lol

Kiz 'unlucky' is my middle name!!! Yep supposed to breed with Asia only reason i bought Asia was to breed...never mind!

Well at the moment iv had to put them both in a divided betta container while i divide the hexagon tank this afternoon! They are flaring at each other like crazy!!!!!

Atleast you found out now rather than when you put them together to try nd breed. I think you need another tank for him haha

Not possible iv got 6 tanks as it is...hex divide will have to do for now

Sure 7 is a nice number haha. Im down to 3 atm but will be upto 9 soon :]
