Mildly Surprised!
I thought since I always seem to be downgrading the large pet store chains I'd give one a compliment for a change. One that I frequent for tank supplies but not for Bettas actually had upgraded their stock. Normally they only have male & female v/t's and a few dogged looking c/t's.
Was I ever surprised to see that there was the above mentioned plus kings, d/t's, deltas and even a few h/m's. I hate to admit it but I saw my first c/t females also! There were several that I considered worth purchasing especially a lemon yellow male h/m.
Let me add that my first v/t who went on ahead of me was purchased there before I even had a clue! The water look good in the cups (still using) and the Bettas seem bored but lively enough for a change. It was nice to see an improvement and I hope it continues for the sake of the fish!

Sounds good, hopefully it'll stay looking good (for cups!) I only recently saw a CT female when i bought 3 of my own they are very beautiful, i have to admit!
Sounds like you've got a good range now too, wish i did. I'd have snapped up the lemon yellow male hm.

Re: Mildly Surprised!
I really didn't have a legitimate place for him(the Lemon). I suppose I could have kept him in a tumbler! Just kidding! I do have 1.5gl(?) Betta solitary confinement tank someone gave me, but I'm resisting using until absolutely
necessary. Maybe for that time I just can't or won't resist.
Hoping to pick up a complete used 10gl. set up with an API test kit and some medications. This is another post for later though!

Re: Mildly Surprised!
I have one now which I plan on dividing for my two c/t's as one is in a 2.5gl hex and I want to provide better housing for him.
If the other one pans out I'll divide it too. Then I will keep an eye out for possibly a h/m and maybe a hmpt. Not lock in until I actually buy them. Never know what one will come up with. Especially me! lol!

They tend to keep you busy! Maybe in a 6 months or so I'll have what I want for the moment. I haven't figured out if one is ever really satisfied!
